Hi in June I will be attending a comic con in Belfast United Kingdom as a half Spanish girl I'm quite curvy and I don't know what to wear all the costumes I see show arms which I'm uncomfortable with showing and they are quite revealing I don't want to have to resort to a kigurumi. If you could help with some ideas I would appreciate this very much :)
If you are uncomfortable with any part of your body, or part of a costume, modifying the design of the costume is ALWAYS an option!
Thank you for doing this blog :) it makes me feel more confident in trying cosplay for the first time. It makes me feel like I'd be welcome for the most part, though i have no illusions that some would find it distasteful, but so what. I'm not doing it for them. again, thanks for giving me a bit more confidence in myself.
You’re welcome. Let the haters hate, we have plenty of love over here.
It's so nice to see this blog! Because I love cosplay and I like looking at plus size girls (I'm a straight girl, but I envy curvy girls) and when I look in the plus size/curvy/chubby tag it's mostly bbw porn :/ So, thank you for making this blog :) I can look at curvy girls without having to see unwanted vagina!
Maybe you or some of your followers can help? :) I was wondering if there is some online store that sells plus size cosplay costumes? (or if I really have to make it myself.. sewing is -not- my thing! xD) Oh and, awesome blog btw! ;)
It really depends on what kind of costume you’re wanting to do. Overall, however, most people who take cosplay commissions can, and will, make them in any size you want/need.
I came across this blog while looking up plus size cosplayers because I was hoping to find something to help boost my own confidence. Knowing others out there my size/a bit bigger still cosplay regardless of what someone else says makes me happy. I recently went to a con where I was asked to step aside from a considerably smaller friend who people wanted to take photos of and that was a knock to my own self confidence. This blog helped me at least smile a bit more & feel a bit better. Thanks. :)
We’re sorry that happened to you. There will always be buttnuggets out there, but I have found that the Awesome tends to outweigh them by a lot. COSPLAY IS FOR EVERYONE. and always will be. We’re glad our little blog could help you. COSPLAY ON!
Okay. So I'm going to my first con in March and I wanted to cosplay as Zoe from Firefly, which I could totally pull off since I have similar hair and complexion and such, but I've never cosplayed before. Any starter tips?
Build a costume you love and ROCK IT! Seriously, that’s the best general advice I have other than to make a general plan and then work piece by piece. Also, remember to share your photos with us!
I'm so happy that you opened up this blog. Personally I think that you should keep a submission box open so we can send you pics of our cosplays. Just a suggestion, if you don't want to you don't have to. Thank you for being awesome
The submission box is always open! We NEED submission to keep this baby going!
